There are several ways: single bb-horns with just a stop valve as 4rth valve could get them an alternative slide, a bit longer than 1st slide & use this stop valve + 3rd valve in combination.
single bb-horns are equipped with a thumb-valve of a FOURTH, switching the horn to F-tonality, so to use it for g & g1 as open notes. single bb-horns without any additional valve require the strict use of the right hand either to lower pitch when using 1+3 or using the right hand more than usual opening to match fingering the g1 with 1. ########################################################### Am 04.05.2011 um 14:27 schrieb SH: > So how do players playing single b-flat horns deal with this note? > > Hans Pizka <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Ricardo, you addressed the issue very well.
