Schmid horns seem to have a very good G on the Bb side. I'm not sure how  
this was done - but it was probably done through compromise between length of 
 the tubing for each valve so that more common notes would be more in tune 
and  less common notes would be compromised.
 
That's just a guess though and I could be way off. 
 
Maybe one day I'll get my horns out of the closet and measure the slides  
and see if my hunch is correct.
 
But not today. I prefer to keep my sanity today.
