True, William. Oft times misinformation is reported on TV, in magazines, on
big fancy websites, etc. and in other supposedly reliable sources simply
because the reporters & presenters are beholding to their high paying
sponsors. Even medical journals have been "caught" reporting false,
incomplete or skewed information because they don't want to offend those who
fund them.

Adele Davis -- a pioneering nutritionist who opposed processed foods being
touted as "health" foods at the time -- appeared on the Johnny Carson show
back in the late 1960s. Johnny ask her what foods we should avoid. The
interview was abruptly interrupted for a commercial break so her answer was
never aired. Guess what her answer was? "Anything advertized on TV."

When I see big money interests (pharmaceutical companies, food processors,
etc.) sponsoring a TV network, a big fancy website or full page magazine or
newspaper ad, (or politician) I'm highly suspicious of the validity of the
health information reported from that source.
