The Baltimore Symphony Academy got off to a good start with the BSO performance of Verdi's Requiem. Academy attendees got tickets as part of the show.
Things went down from there. At registration I asked about my chamber music group. Fee paid and collected and all that for chamber music. They could find my group assignment. Later they said, "we think we didn't assign you a group are you sure you paid?" Well, yes I was. The little darlins' wander off for a while, then came back and told me. "Well, even if you did sign up, we have filled up all the groups, it's too late. We can refund you money, if you paid." Then had the timidity to say, "is there any thing we can do?" Well, since I traveled from Dallas only to find that about 1/3 of the program I expected won't be available. The only thing they could do they told me they couldn't do.
