After a brief period of being able to receive digests but left unable to post to the list, due to my employer changing my address, I am now back in business (now, don't all go jumping up and down and stuff) with my settings changed to reflect reality. For those unfortunate individuals who have somehow gotten my address lodged in your contacts, you can still use the old one, since I have been told that it has been converted to an alias, but it might be a good idea to start using the newer expanded version that you will see in the header of this posting. My old address seemed to make a lot of people think that I was named Phil (not that there is anything wrong with that), so it is probably best to phase it out.
Anyhow, the thing I originally tried to post and hour or so ago is as follows: In case anyone wants to know just what the piece is (was) without checking out all the links, it was Leopold Mozart's Sinfonia da caccia. I do recall that the level of playing on the video was incredibly good, technically and sound wise. I don't recall if there were barking dogs and shotguns in the mix on the video, though many of the recordings that I have heard do so. I have a copy of the score at home and I think these touches are flights of fancy since I don't recall that there are instructions in it relating to shooting and barking.
