The case I described had nothing to do with music, but
happen during a skiing week in the alps.

Another recommendation. Use one of these "fart" cushions
secretly, when the nasty young player has a low (solo)
entrance. Once the "fart" happen - sounds well like 4rth
horn sometimes - give him a ugly face or questioning face.
The conductor will interrupt and ask the nasty boy, - but
only if the conductor is not stone deaf, - what happen with
the low note, perhaps others in the orchestra will laugh
hysterically, - and things will be cleared forever. Well,
his ego will be damaged, but who cares.

Or, fumble a bit on his corks, to get them a bit off place,
just a bit. It works wonders. The horn will become horribly
tight.

Or switch upper & lower 2nd slide. Hopefully, he will not
notice it but feel, if the notes come out distuned.

We had a superb method, used once in every single case.
Catch the boy, pants down & polish his ass with black shoe
polish, really polishing by a brush. But do not forget,
putting a (potatoe) sack over his head first. He will have
a hell, removing the black "ass". But you & your friends
should take care, not to hurt him. This is the rough antic
educational method, a very successful method for special
individuals.

Ha, I guess pinning his hand to the bar with an ice pick and
then strangling him with piano wire is too severe.
