It is all just relevant if you play in quit cold environment AND if you blow a lot of air through the instrument. If you just let the air go, you will not heat up yourself much - and the water problem is (nearly) eliminated. - But it is a welcome excuse for split notes: MY HORN WASN´T WARMED UP. Nobody cares how you do the things as the result counts only.
