Nico, There is no precedent for HOT board members resigning to ensure the neutrality of HOT.
I resigned from the HOT board to ensure that HOT could remain a "vendor" at The World Bank Group under the conflict of interest rules of *The World Bank Group*. If I had remained on the HOT board as a World Bank consultant, and if both HOT and I were working in the same country or project on World Bank funding, HOT could be disqualified as a vendor and made ineligible for further funding from the World Bank. I might note that this disqualification is not automatic; instead, it was a risk that I chose to manage by resigning and eliminating the risk to HOT entirely. - John On Thu, Mar 12, 2015 at 2:13 PM, Kate Chapman <kate.chap...@hotosm.org> wrote: > Hi Martijn, > > HOT has a conflict of interest policy prepared by I believe the same legal > expert.
