I've been using OSMAND to add POIs and Notes (either in real-time or storing them for later upload), keypad-mapper 3 for collecting addressing information for later editing in JOSM, Mapillary for capturing GPS-tagged photos, and GPSLogger for collecting GPS tracks. All of these are available in the Google Play store and some are available in the F-Droid repository. I find these tools to be very useful for capturing data in the field for later processing.
