You do more configuration via XML than the ColdBox website would lend you to believe. Alot of your basic event handling occurs via convention, as opposed to say Mach ii, but you still can do a lot of tweaking in the coldbox.xml file. Then you get into the various plugins - more config via XML there. (for example, the security plugin) I'm not saying that's bad - you get power.
