[Hplip-help] Scanning on hp psc 1410 not working.,

I have compiled and installed hplip-0.9.11 along with the patch 0.9.11-2 successfully.
The printing is functional but, scanning is not.
Os debian 3.1_r1 (sarge)
relevent part of dmesg says:

 even if i assume root status the error remains.

Please help me getting my psc work on linux.
