Aaron is on vacation now so as we proceed into the Christmas holidays you may not see much help on this list until after the new year.
Based on your feedback it looks like you are running old HPLIP software. Some of the "hp-check" messages are not 1.6.10. I am not a Ubuntu expert, but I believe if you are upgrading from dapper to edgy you have to manually remove any old version of HPLIP. Make sure there is only one copy of libsane-hpaio, hpijs, hpiod, and hpssd or your PC. The HPLIP version can be determined by the "hp-info" command or "hpiod -h" command. -dave > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf > Of Will Hawes > Sent: Tuesday, December 19, 2006 3:21 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Hplip-help] Scanning problem > > On 19/12/06, Aaron <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Can you run hp-check and post the output? > > I tried to, only to discover that the Ubuntu packages > (helpfully) don't include it!
