Well it's good to hear that the databases are smaller, certainly. I 
still find it curious that the db.excerpts is a decent size larger 
than the original database. Do you use the compression_level 
attribute or set anything noticeably different in the two config 
files?

How does search speed compare now?

As far as the other bug, it looks like a problem with Gabriele's new 
cookie code which hasn't received much testing.
