You should probably direct your complaint to the administrators of
the IUPAC site, and not to the htdig mailing list. We don't have any
control over how htdig users implement fuzzy matches on their site.
Some sites make the selection of fuzzy algorithms user-selectable,
so you don't have to use all of them if they give irrelevant hits.
If this site doesn't give you a choice, you can ask them to do so,
or to take some fuzzy match algorithms out of their configuration.
We're also working on a beta version of htdig that includes phrase
matching, which will allow for more precise searches.
