Sorry, I was messing with $&(METADESCRIPTION) and when I went back to $&(EXCERPT) I copied the $&(TITLE) Syntax instead of watching what I should have been doing and using $(EXCERPT) Strangly $&(METADESCRIPTION) doesn't seem to work on WinXP (my Dev environment) but works fine on my ISP. (nothing in WinXP - metadescription as expected on my ISP) I've reverted to use_meta_description: true and $(EXCERPT) but I'm still trying to work out why start_ellipses: ..." won't work with use_meta_description. Most baffling... Thanks again.
