I'm starting to spend more serious time learning how to install/maintain htdig. I recently installed both 3.1.6 and the most recent snapshot of 3.2.0b4 (mid-march) into different directories so that I could experiment with them both.
3.1.6 installed like a dream.
3.2, however, required a little more work. I had to read the ./configure options a little more carefully to make sure I got them right, but once I did, it appeared to build/install flawlessly.
The problem is, however, that when I try to use the 3.2 version of htsearch, it get the following error (when run from the command line) and a 500 error (Premature end of script headers) when run from the browser.
tedsr% ./htsearch words=computer dyld: ./htsearch Undefined symbols: __ZSt4cout __ZSt4endlIcSt11char_traitsIcEERSt13basic_ostreamIT_T0_ES6_ ___cxa_pure_virtual __ZSt3cin __ZSt4cerr __ZSt4cout __ZSt4endlIcSt11char_traitsIcEERSt13basic_ostreamIT_T0_ES6_ Trace/BPT trap
Any ideas what might be the problem or can someone recommend a more usable release of 3.2?
Thanks,
Ted Stresen-Reuter
