wow, so i added a common_dir attrib and rundig worked! now i try to submit the default search they included and of course that doesn't work :) i get:
ht://Dig error htsearch detected an error. Please report this to the webmaster of this site. You may try explicitly stating the path to the db directory in your htdig.conf file with the database_dir attribute, although I think it's set by default.
