Further to the message below: I've tracked this weirdness down to htfuzzy's 'endings' algorithm. This seems like the place that the weird non-words would probably be generated.
The weird search words consist of the initial search term plus the first few letters of either directory or file names under Document Root. Could this be caused by a faulty or missing ispell? Where can I fiddle with htfuzzy and what it does? C source code (Uh oh)?
