We changed servers to a Unix server yesterday and now htdig upon a search gives this error message: htsearch detected an error. Please report this to the webmaster of this site. The error message is: Unable to read configuration file
All the htdig files were faithfully transferred over / uploaded to the best of my knowledge. I went into the config file and changed what I thought were the relevant locations of files, but I'm still getting the error message. As I see it via my ftp the files are now located on the new server in a new folder at: /webdocs/ I've pasted the config file changes and all text below as it presently exists in the config file. Please advise. Thank you, Michael Fallow # # Example config file for ht://Dig. # Last modified 2-Sep-1996 by Andrew Scherpbier # # This configuration file is used by all the programs that make up ht://Dig. # Please refer to the attribute reference manual for more details on what # can be put into this file. (http://htdig.sdsu.edu/configfile.html) # Note that most attributes have very reasonable default values so you # really only have to add attributes here if you want to change the defaults. # # What follows are some of the common attributes you might want to change. # # # Specify where the database files need to go. Make sure that there is # plenty of free disk space available for the databases. They can get # pretty big. # database_dir: /webdocs/htdig/db # # Where the common files live, new to this install put in the home # dir so customers can customize easier common_dir: /webdocs/htdig/common # # This specifies the URL where the robot (htdig) will start. You can specify # multiple URLs here. Just separate them by some whitespace. # The example here will cause the ht://Dig homepage and related pages to be # indexed. # start_url: http://www.aoweb.com/ # # this attribute will set it so that local urls are searched via the filesystem local_urls: http://www.aoweb.com/=/webdocs/ # Set this to the default documents in a directory used by the server. # This is used for local filesystem access to translate URLs like # http://www.aoweb.com/ into something like # /webdocs/index.html local_default_doc: index.cgi default.htm default.html index.html index.htm index.shtml home.html home.htm home.shtml index.php3 index.phtml ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
