I'm sure other people have noticed the article on Slashdot. A company
called JuggernautSearch has made their source code available through
GPL:
<http://www.juggernautsearch.com/cgi-jugger/juggernaut.cgi>
From the page:
The Juggernautsearch LLC programming team for the last four years
straight has been able to provide the most efficiently coded and
fastest search engine on the Internet.
Juggernautsearch LLC is giving away the entire search engine source
code for free under the GNU Public License.
The Juggernaut Search Engine can deliver 10 million unique page views
per day using a single Pentium II configured with the Slackware V4.0
distibution of the Linux operating system. Even higher performance
can be achieved using multi-processor servers or Enterprise systems.
The Juggernautsearch Engine crawler also has the unique ability to
quickly compile every relevant web page written in any language on
the entire World Wide Web for any given specific subject.

I haven't been able to take a look at the source code, but obviously
it will be interesting to take a look at what they're doing
considering their statements of "efficiently coded and fastest." It
evidently appears that they're only making the search portion
available, but I'd be curious what optimizations they've made.
