Well, it's a show stopper for me right now. I tried my idea of patching
configure to take the "db" directory out of the list, but of course now
the make all-recursive doesn't descend into the db package at all, so the
build fails. I think the solution might be to hack DESTDIR support into
the db Makefiles, and then have the source rpm split the binaries up into
runtime and development packages. It'll be uglier than I'd like, but it
should work, if I can figure out how to patch the db Makefiles.
