http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35944 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-08-01 16:45 ------- Garry, The MTCM manages one connection pool per host config. There is a limit of simultaneous connections to a certain host which by default is something like 2 (as recommended by RFC-2616). So if the MTCM has handed out the 2 connections the next call to getConnection will block until one of the connections is handed back to the connection manager. Of course this will never happen if you never call releaseConnection on the method. So it is vitally important that the releaseConnection call is in a finally clause. Please check your code for ommissions of that.
