Folks,
This is my take for what it is worth.

My preference is to stay with Jakarta. The amount of trouble I have had
getting HttpClient promoted from a component in Commons to a full
project in Bugzilla was enormous. I personally do not have any strength
left to go through the same exercise again. I am for 1.2 followed by 1.3

As to the project name my preference would be
Jakarta Http Components (and if this also turns out to be a no-no)
Jakarta Haiku
Jakarta HttpAgent

I think Roland generated some really great ideas. We might still want to
run a poll on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] before we formally vote on the project
name.

Jira does provide more capabilities, which can prove very useful.
However, Bugzilla works just fine too and appears well supported these
days. I probably close the request for now until we know how to proceed
further.

Just sit and wait for another month. If some serious bugs are reported
go RC4. Otherwise go final
