Ransac is basically a statistical method and will work on any data set which contains mainly inliers and some outliers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ransac As usual with statistics, you have to be careful. If you have a mosaic and feed your statistical analysis with ypr values, your results will most likely be disappointing. This is no fault of the method, then, but of it's application.
