If you're not hearing it elsewhere Jane, I'd suggest you do a thorough
search of your abode and vicinity for any humming devices such as
fridges and the like. Failing that, consult an ear specialist. The Hum
that I perceive does not come from within, but gives the illusion that
it does. It's an external influence that I pick up wherever I go. It's
also not true that people in their 50's are the only ones who 'hear'
this, youngsters 'hear' it too, the world over.
