If it's any consolation,I consider myself sane as most but have
noticed strange behaviour of hum when dealing around it.
After contacting the manager of this site some time back the Hum
disappeared for about 2 months and was quite odd to think there may be
a connection. The upside of this is that, even though it makes you do
a double take- it actually throws you back in charge, as you are
prepared to do something about it and notice/comment- which is a lot
more than many can be bothered to do.
Another time I bought a load of test gear to hunt down the pest and,
within a day or two , the pesky drone had vanished!

Also, you get confirmation from others like me, who can at least
attempt to validate your experiences and opinions which is very
reassuring in a disconnected world.
For all this I.T. overload- people feel isolated and managed by the
heavy handed users and media outlets connected to 'IT' !
The Hum is indeed a double edged sword in my eyes- it gets a few
people 'in the neck' unduly- but it also highlights the limits of
power in a finely interconnected physical world when it gets noticed.
People are now questioning the rapid and complex switch over to
Digital TV as the need for the old UHF channels, to be used elsewhere,
becomes paramount -possibly.
In the old days people barely understood that there were 405 lines on
the screen, when they could be virtually counted, before the change to
625 UHF.
At least that made sense in quality and bandwidth terms - now people
complain about a reduction in channels and reliability in the change
to digital and can't be bothered to buy an expensive HD set to prove
the alleged benefit in picture quality.
To sum up, people may be confused and not a little worried - but they
are far from being as compliant as earlier generations and have a lot
of suspicions about who to trust in the higher echelons of society.
Quite so!
