If 98 people out of every 100 could hear the Hum then there would be some justification in using their observations to draw some conclusions as to its properties and construct a theory, but when only 2 people out of every 100 hear the Hum and they cannot agree as to what it sounds like, how strong it is and when it comes and goes. I am afraid that trying to .explain the Hum on such flimsy facts is a non-starter especially if one was considering offering such facts to the authorities as evidence.
In 1978 a national UK newspaper published a map showing the location of 2000 Hum sufferers. At the time everyone thought this would show where the Hum was coming from, it did not. In 1996 the late Bob Lewis, who was at the time secretary of the Low Frequency Noise Sufferers Association produced a map using the members of the association, which was also around 2000. Although nearly 20 years apart the maps were almost identical, they did not reveal the source of the Hum only the population distribution of the UK, a simple relationship between the size of population and number of Hum sufferers. I have just finished reading the Report of the Windsor Hum Investigation some 260 pages of utter twaddle, however, I must congratulate the Canadian Government for producing the most comprehensive whitewash job on the subject that I have seen to date On Friday, June 13, 2014 8:18:57 PM UTC+1, John Dawes wrote: > > I have attached a picture of a chart showing the Hum energy level taken > at various times of the day.
