Dear John, You have made a real breakthrough with reaching your postulate!:
*The energy responsible for producing the Hum can only act upon matter which is itself in a state of vibration.*This is very important as it proves my theory that the Hum hearing is due to middle ear myoclonus, MEM (caused itself by the Hum energy, I believe). I have already written about this connection in this group and in the yahoo forum. In Wikipedia it states that the tensor tympani fast muscle fibres are able to vibrate from 10 to 70 cycles per second. In middle ear myoclonus this vibration is constant (muscle spasm). When the Hum frequency (which varies from 10Hz to 100 Hz or less) couples with the vibrating mass of the tensor tympani muscle in the same frequency range (which can vary upon each individual's particularities), there is a resonance produced and the Hum is being perceived as a sound originating from within the head. This also might explain why some people hear the Hum with only one ear - the MEM can be unilateral, though in most cases is in both ears. I have been suspecting MEM for some time and finally got it confirmed in May and June by medical test called Decay Contra Reflex. I can assure you that I feel the fluttering of the muscles in my ears and can hear and feel the fast vibration (as a violent rotation) whenever I close my ears with fingertips. I am trying to find a way to treat the MEM and eventually get rid of the Hum hearing - but it must be other than a surgical intervention to cut the tendons or by administration of antiepileptic drugs as they are proven to be ototoxic. So far the only areas of interest are the ketogenic diet and the usage of medical cannabis, plus some hep seed oil and coconut oil intake, in order to reduce or completely stop the myoclonic seizures within the middle ear.
