Song mode?

Hi ya'll,
What's the easiest way to build a song with the RM1X? i'm 
familiar with using my ASR-X to chain patterns,will i have 
to bust out the ol calculator? ;) With the X i just line em 
up & bam it's done. i'd like to add a real-time pattern 
chain & real time song record mode where you can record 
your section & mute changes as well write tracks on top of 
the pattern links,like the Ensoniq TS-10's sequencer.
