Hi,
I don't think you can record selections and mutes, but i'm not sure. I only
use the RM1x for live gigs, so i don't need the song function. Actually,
i've never even used it.
I sued to have a EPS 16+, so i'm fairly familiar with the Ensoniq thinking.
