me personally........I use cakewalk pro audio, not out of choice, but
because I started with cakewalk years ago when I got it free. Ive just
learnt it as its grown over the past few years. so theres no need to
switch. and for software vst fx, I use wavelab to manipulate my samples.
as for songs, theres two sets.
the first set would be more simple songs, along the lines of the one I
posted. these are quick and easy and I have loads, infact thats how I work
all the time........but the good ones......the best of the bunch get turned
into real tracks, utilizing my equipment and outboard gear, including
software sequencing and manipulation.
the second set (this is the set of those that i have turned into real
tracks) i only have about ten, as I am working on my first promo/demo
album.......have been for the past year and 1/2. so although I might not
have programmed and produced as many professional tracks as you may have,
for a student, as someone called me, i think I'm doing not too bad.
so although alot of you guys seem to think that the rm1x is just a pile of
cack with good sequencing controls on top, i find it not only to be an
enjoyable little toy, but an easy and effective tool for coming up with new
grooves and songs. It has everything you need to build a track........you
know where your track is going....right from the start........but if all you
see it for is a little blue box that farts, then thats fair enough. I
respect your opinions.
but shouldnt you have listened to what it does and says before you flog out
your $700 bucks? i thought that was the whole point in making music. Or did
you go by what the magazines say?
