It only does this when you start from a preset pattern right?
I do this all the time with user patterns and it's all good-
I makes new phrases so I can edit them and not modify the originals.

Well, it is fun- but I understand how it may not be if you don't know
what you're doing.

Some people would see this as a benefit, depending on how you use it.

Am I confused?
Can't you just filter out the program-changes on the RM1x?
Or disable them on the AN1x?

My guitar playing friends pick up my Electribe-R and (knowing how to use
it) manage to make drum patterns that make me cringe and cause an
offbeat twitch in my right arm.
