i was thinking about reording in pattern chain...so instead of entering the
sequence manually you can just press record and all the pattern-select-
section-select, mute- and transpose-data will be recorded into the
pattern-chain data.....
of course you can also implement this in song mode, but song mode is lineair
mode, and pattern-chain seems like the best mode for this kind of stuff....i
attached the message of Laurent about this to make it a little more clear...

I posted this idea some months ago, when i got my RM1x, in the first days of
the hwseq list.
I'm posting it again to make sure Yamaha get it, maybe they were not
subscribed back in those days...
This is a solution to all the "mute/unmute status record" problem we all
have while composing a song.
It's a modification to the pattern-chain mode, where i think the problem
is...
Take a look at the attached gif at the end of the message while reading this
:
Knob 1
rotate select the measure (unchanged)
push nothing (unchanged)
Knob 2
rotate select the style (unchanged)
push nothing (unchanged)
Knob 3
rotate select the section (was knob 4 before)
push set the mute status for this measure
Knob 4
rotate select the transpose value for this measure
push clear (unchanged)
With those options added, you can "program" everything you can do live :
- change the style
- change the section
- change the mute status
- change the transpose
Just think about that, you could sequence a complete song with just one
pattern !!
