yea i set one as master and one as slave.
as for writing tunes i actually wrote lots of seperate tunes that would fit
together then have them both playing at the same time and jam with the drum
tracks untill i wanted to mix the next tune in.
the only problem with this is the you cant filter out the section change
messages (when u wanna change the section on the master box it would change
to the same section on the slave) but i got around this by using a motu box
(thanks drude) to filter out the section changes.
two rm1x's is great for live because you can fuck up all the drums one one
box (using the select 1-8) but still have drum tracks playing.. :))
things will get more complicated when i take the next step which is using
two a3000's (one per rm1x) eeek!
there's a piccy of me doing my set http://www.partyvibe.com/bobule (im the
one on the right) - the other guy is prash from impact
http://www.partyvibe.com/impact - they also use two rm1x's but THEY DONT
SYNC EM!!!! nutters ;))
nyway he was helping me out cos it was my 1st gig and i wanted some backup..
:)
there is also a *really really* bad copy (7mb mono) of my set there if
anyones interested -- i do also have a 29mb good quality ver but i doubt if
many of u have the bandwidth for that..
kewl
