I'm also interested to proceed that way in live situation : running two
sequencers with 2 songs running at the same time and doing the mix between
the two - live - But no money for the moment so I keep on jamin' on my Qy700

I use mainly the transpose function + drum table edit to get weird stuff, I
sample everyting to fix up and use DSP power of the sampler then play back
loops layered. This way, i spare memory (less notes) and add extra to
sounds.
