Midi supports channels 1 - 16. Each channel should only be assigned to one
part. For example, the Nord is 4 part multitimboral. That means you can
assign bank "A" to midi channel one, B to two, C to three, and D to four.
It's like having 4 Nord Leads! However, if another Midi instrument in your
studio is also assigned channel one, then both channel ones will play at the
same time. So if your A3000 is set up to use channel one for piano and the
Nord's bank "A" is also for channel one, you'll hear both. You manual for
each device tells you how to change midi channels. So if your Nord is you
control synth, assign channels 1-4 for the four banks. Then you can assign
the A3000 channels 5-8 (but it could be 5 and 6 or just 5 if you wanted!).
Also, the RM1x has internal sounds and you need to "turn off" the internal
sound channels if you are sending them via midi to an external device.
Remember, aside from sequencing, the RM1x is a real midi instrument as well.
