You might want to subscribe to the relevant mailing lists of these synths.
In my sig there is a link to my mp3.com stuff that features the Micro. I
had just gotten it when those tracks were recorded so the programming is
not that advanced. I have the full keyboard now, and it's simply an
*amazing* machine. Be prepared to spend long hours figuring out what you
are doing though. I can't say what the other synths are like, but if I
had to get another synth today (bummer, right?), I'd get a Waldorf
Microwave XT. It's got a reputation as being an extreme, wierd sound
generator.
You can download a demo of the Modular Editor from Clavia's site and open
up the patches. I fooled around with them for a few months before I
bought the Micro. I liked the Mirco so much that I upgraded to the full
version. The sound is breathtaking, especially on high-end monitors. I
can't wait to hear my rig through a big PA.
