True. But I think this is also an issue of workflow and additional
clicking and interface steps to get what you need. see below.

For me the counter-intuitive part is that I am currently looking at and
editing a pattern, I hit play (usually space bar) expecting to hear what
I am currently working on and hear a different pattern instead. The fact
that I have to explicitly "activate" the pattern for playback seems odd
and is an additional step every time I edit a different pattern.
Actually two clicks - one to deactivate the last pattern that I was
working on, and one to activate the current pattern. Again, I understand
this behavior for people using H2 in live situations. Also, I like the
idea of "activating" additional patterns for simultaneous playback if
needed. I sometimes layer patterns for composition as well.

So I would like to see a preference option that when I hit play, the
currently selected pattern will play whether "activated" or not. Any
other activated patterns would play as well.
