True. But I think this is also an issue of workflow and additional clicking and interface steps to get what you need. see below. > Let me comment some of the previous proposals: > > - "Single-Click activates patterns" (Jason): Single click selects a > pattern, this is a different action.. and i suppose the most users would > be very disturbed if we change that to "activate pattern" For me the counter-intuitive part is that I am currently looking at and editing a pattern, I hit play (usually space bar) expecting to hear what I am currently working on and hear a different pattern instead. The fact that I have to explicitly "activate" the pattern for playback seems odd and is an additional step every time I edit a different pattern. Actually two clicks - one to deactivate the last pattern that I was working on, and one to activate the current pattern. Again, I understand this behavior for people using H2 in live situations. Also, I like the idea of "activating" additional patterns for simultaneous playback if needed. I sometimes layer patterns for composition as well. So I would like to see a preference option that when I hit play, the currently selected pattern will play whether "activated" or not. Any other activated patterns would play as well. -Scott ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW!
