hi guys
does assembla ticket #144 describe the request correctly ? :
"(based on an idea from Morning Songs and Jason Schaefer)
changing the color of the blocks can help with identifying the different
song parts (verse, chorus, intro ...), but it can also help to easily
identify the patterns.
Now (especially if you are using a high resolution, and thus have a wide
sequencer screen) it can become hard to distinguish between the different
patterns. I sometimes find myself scrolling lieft<>right just to see if i'm
still on the correct row (see also below**)
imo these options would be handy :
1) right click on a single block and select color from a color-picker
2) right click on a pattern and select color from a picker > this would then
color the complete row (or blocks on that row)
3) select a number of blocks (area select), right click and select a color
from the picker
(- right click the column header (the area where the song measures are
shown, select color from picker > all blocks in that column get this color)
> not sure if this makes much sense ?
- other options to solve this issue might be :
- auto highlight the pattern name whenever you are hovering above it's row
(or maybe even the complete row?)
- make the pattern name light up briefly whenever you add/remove a block for
this pattern"
