Gaji yang saya tuliskan diatas itu lebih banyak utk GGRE (pekerja bawah tanah). Saat ini G&G sedang diatas Engineer, kecuali Drilling Engineer. DE ini selalu tinggi karena kebanyakan kerja kontrak. Untuk membandingkan permanen vs kontrak ada grafik yg bisa dibaca di tulisan teratas "ngitung gaji konsultan". Yang ada dalam tulisan saya ttg gaji Malaysia itu diambil tahun 2005. Rata-rata setahun naik 5% pertahun sebagai kompensasi inflasi. Rule of thumb saya dahulu utk fresh grad yang masuk oil industri sekitar 600-700 USD/bulan. Kayaknya sekarang masih hampir sama. pssst FYI saja, kemarin ada kawan kita (Indonesian Geoscientist) ditawar 12K USD/bulan oleh perusahaan minyak terkenal di KL sini, eh masih nolak looh :) pssst ... kata orangnya masih rahasia.
