The point is simply this... mixing semantics looks like hell.
I can understand this. I guess being an end user of such a simple yet
effective tool like sqlmap, I keep wishing for things to become even
easier (striving for perfection), sometimes ignoring or not even
realising what the consequences of scratching those itches might have.
When you
start mixing xml with velocity for no good reason your < becomes a
minor blip on the radar of messy. The other reason is that you
introduce the FULL ability of velocity or freemarker which is a
thoroughly unnecessary addition to accomplish something as simple as
what we are accomplishing. But, that is just my opinion. I hope that
as things change in the future you will provide a sweet full blown
velocity or freemarker version and serve a portion of the community
that digs it.
Maybe. I'm not exactly as talented or as enthusiastic about java as many
of the people here. Ibatis just makes my java life that much more bearable.
