One of the things that I have against the PDSE is the same thing that I had against SNA attached 3270s, it isn't available at NIP time. Until you can have SYS1.NUCLEUS either as an extended IPL text or a PDSE and SYS1.LPALIB as a PDSE, I consider the construct broken. While I can't speak to the other complaints in this thread from experience, the restriction on sharing shows lack of understanding of varied needs. If organizations are sharing PDSs among sysplexes for justifiable organizational reasons, then the supposedly safer PDSE data sets should be at least sharable to the extent there is one writing sysplex and multiple read only sysplexes. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
