If you don't want to integrate the OS/400 and z/OS systems, then just install a TN5250 emulator on the desktops and run the applications. TN5250 is the AS/400 equivalent of TN3270. That might be simpliest. The AS/400's built in database is DB2 and you can access it from z/OS using a DB2 client, but you would need to buy said client. For a truly excellent web site, try: http://www.midrange.com/ . Lots of very smart, very helpful people there!
