So I don't see that reporting a 'defect' has any chance of getting this fixed, especially as even here on ibm-main a lot of people argue that the storage isn't really getmained - until a bug kills the system.
I don't consider what DB2 does right and I think that their setting is asinine given what we now learned about the possible paging config. So the only chance I see is submitting an RCF that the Extended addressability guide is clearly wrong because DB2 doesn't play by the rules outlined there. My guess is that IBM will change the Ext Addr Guide. :-( So I better spend my time writing my monitor program to get alerted once things go downhill than spend the energy to argue with IBM.
