Hi,

are you sure they are using the level of IPCS from the same z/OS as you are on?
There are a lot of chances to lose data between IPCS versions. The classic one
is the claim that there is no SYSTRACE in the dump. You can only find the
SYSTRACE in IPCS if you use the same level IPCS as the z/OS of the system the
dump was taken on.

This is a big problem for ISVs. The dump should be analyzed with at least the
appropriate SYS1.MIGLIB & SYS1.PARMLIB from the same level z/OS.

ie if the dump was taken on z/OS 1.9 the the MIGLIB & PARMLIB (for IPCSPARM)
should also be from z/OS 1.9.

Good Luck

Best Wishes / Mit freundlichem Gruß
John Grimmette

And is your problem even remotely an ENQ lockout problem? If you can set a slip
trap, it does not sound like a hang (which would be an indication of an ENQ
lockout). Because in any other case (no ENQ lockout), 'data not in dump'
without further explanation is just an excuse.
