You should have said that in the first post...

Perhaps the 'collector' or your TCP/IP settings is blocking the transmission of 
the records...

Are you not suppressing the SMF records?

Perhaps the callers needed to be configured to write out SMF records in the 
first place.

That is all I can think of now...
