I don't disagree, but to date I haven't had a problem with
intentionally or unintentionally limiting 31-bit storage via
IEFUSI for GRS, CONSOLE, *MASTER*, SMF, etc. to the point where
it caused a problem.   I guess IBM probably has had customers
that did though.  I'm sure there was a thought process that
went into this.

DB2 is still just an application running on the OS, so your point
doesn't apply there. That is where this thread started (I think).

I guess we've beat this horse to death.  It's become somewhat of
a religious thing at this point.
