PDS's low-level access method is called BPAM, and that is not BSAM or QSAM. So the above link is NOT what I meant. PDSE has a set of *internal* macros/interfaces (similar to the available BPAM macros) that *some* vendors have bought for $$$$ in order to directly access PDSEs. Those interfaces are otherwise not documented, certainly not to the rest of the world. (This has been mentioned before on ibm-main.)
