At the risk of offending vendors, as a user, I have found that the better one,
as long as they're the lastest and greatest by each vendor, is the cheapest one.
Vendors will disagree, but DASD is a commodity, these days.
I've been involved in acquisitions for over 20 years, and cost is TRULY the
only factor.
Almost everything else is on a level playing field.
Deeply and completely disagree. DASD as a disk space - that's OK.
However if you plan to use remote copy and PiT copy - then things are
really interesting. A lot of details (important ones!), parameters,
options, hard to compare disrctly (incompatible solutions). Even cache
memory is hard to compare.
