Radoslaw, What is your reasoning behind using "many" MAN datasets? The system only records to one dataset at a time, unlike paging datasets which are all being used. I've found that 2 large datasets and one smaller "emergency" dataset are sufficient. As long as the dump process is running properly SMF just switches between the two large datasets, and the smaller dataset doesn't even get used. You only need the smaller one in an emergency when something interferes with the dump processing, like an operator cancelling the task.

IMHO it's good idea to have many datasets, the higer SMF recording activity the more datasets. BTW: In fact I remember no ROT (rule of thumb) regarding CISZ of MAN datasets.
